Boiling Brits & Violent Juveniles

Yes, some cities in England are celebrating an orgy of destruction. So, what’s the solution? From what I’ve seen, this may or may not be a religious thing, but I have no doubt that if the rioters were “Christians” (think about that: Christian Rioters?) we would have heard about it by now as we did in the case of the Norway attacker. As reported here it didn’t take long for the mainstream media to report,

“We are not sure whether he was alone or had help,” a police official, Roger Andresen, said at a news conference. “What we know is that he is right-wing and a Christian fundamentalist.”

So there you go. In an age when reporters can’t use terms often enough like “’alleged’ assailant,” “’alleged’ gunman,” “’suspected’ burglar,” etc., you can be sure that when it comes to poisonous attacks on historic Christianity, the “alleged” and the “suspected” will not be acceptable adjectives.

The fact that Anders Behring Breivik, was anything but an orthodox Christian is beside the point. Who cares, as long as he can be used to trash Christians? But the fact is that, via a YouTube video he supposedly left, he was far more into Freemasonry than anything else.

So we turn to the riots in Great Britain. It turns out that some observers note that the rioters appear to be well organized.  One eyewitness stated,

“There were around 30 well-equipped rioters. The police didn’t even come close to this; instead they were blocking the road 200m away.”

Well equipped rioters? 30 of them? I can’t help but wonder, first of all, how 30 rioters could be “well equipped,”, and then, how they could find each other in this rioting that we are supposed to believe is random!

In fact, we are witnessing the destruction of European Christianity. Psalm 11: 3 asks, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Yes, the foundations are under attack, and the only answer is to rebuild the foundations.

When Godly foundations are destroyed, destruction, misery, and bloodshed will follow as the cart follows the horse. So what are the righteous to do? Verses 4-7 have the answer:

The LORD [is] in His holy temple, The LORD’s throne [is] in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.

The LORD tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind [Shall be] the portion of their cup.

For the LORD [is] righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.

Our choices are limited in the midst of the crumbling cultural foundations. We can either do nothing, or do something. And the only “something” that is worthy of our energy is to rebuild those crumbling foundations.

So, for all those who love Christ and believe His Word, I must ask, whether you live in Great Britain or elsewhere: As surely as those foundations were built the first time, can they be rebuilt again, in our time?

Why not now, and why not us?
