Calling All Carnivores!

“For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need ofmilk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.”   –Hebrews 5:12,13

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” –Hosea 4:6

If anything characterizes modern American Christianity, it is a lack of spiritual meat in the intellectual diet of many Christians.  Perhaps it could be separated into two categories:  first, those who are complacent and content with a diet of milk, and second, those who would really like some spiritual prime rib but find it in short supply.

We at MARS begin our third Tuesday lecture series each month with a great buffet dinner, with lots of meat.  We heartily invite you to join us.  You’ll find things such as hand-carved beef, ham, ribs, steaks, chicken, fish, and more.  Of course there are lots of vegetables and a great section with fresh salad and fruit, as well as wonderful desserts.  That’s all great, and we are thankful for God’s bounty on the table.  But better yet, the lecture series is packed with meat from God’s Word…serious stuff that will send you home thinking…with a full stomach and a full mind, we hope.  (You can have a nice cool glass of milk with your dinner, but may not find too much of it in the lecture).

Mark your calendar for the third Tuesday of every month, and check our website for topics or updates!
