CREC Pastor Attempts to Refute Lancastrian Theonomy

The Lancaster Patriot Podcast

A CREC pulpit recently took aim at Lancastrian Theonomy. The alternative presented by Kasey Horvath from All Saint Church (New Holland, PA)? “Just preach the gospel.” The problem is that this answer solves a question no one asked (How are men saved?) while dodging the main question theonomists are asking: By what standard does the magistrate judge? When you claim the civil government exists to “restrain evil,” you immediately force the issue—Who defines evil, and who sets the penalties? Man’s legislature, or God’s Law-Word? In this episode, Chris Hume lays out the pastor’s complete argument, isolates the category errors, and takes the critique apart clip-by-clip.
